Current position:
Head Coach and a committee member for Hunters Hill swimming club (November 2004 – present). Chairman for Hunters Hill Swimming (March 2004–present).
Position:
As Head Coach and committee member, I find that the role enables me to communicate with the club to action ideas quickly and support the competitive program as well as the first comers. The connection between the Head Coach and the club involved in the direction of running a highly and competitive approach, My role as Coach is also assists the club by having a representative of the Hunters Hill Swimming Club involved in the decision making and organisation of the club. I find that the extra commitment is very rewarding for me as a coach, as it keeps me in touch all the time with kids at all levels, this position produces and fulfill many rewards and assists in running the squad program in general.
Personal:
Have two children April Zidan (18) and Zach (14, still competing to a high level; has been making NSW State championship since he was 10 years old). I Enjoy running, swimming, of course Coaching and listening to music in my spare time (if I have any).
Born in Syria from Syrian Mum and an English dad, grow and compete in swimming in UK London first arrived in Australia 2001 with my family for job relocation. I participated in BT Swimathons for 10 years (1991-2000) ;and I ran three triathlons; and I competed as an age group swimmer, I get involved in teaching young kids since 1986 then moved to coaching, I coach in London for Cannon aquatic sport center.
Goals:
To support and provide the club with a high levels of competitive swimming. Work to ensure that the club offers value for money to its members. I also take great pleasure when the club can provide support and assistance to its members, the swimming community and the general community in times to work together for common Goals. Make swimming Fun, and save for every one, from every walk of life.
