Local swim team performs at All Junior Competition
Saturday February 14th marked the beginning of the Metro South All Junior competition. Swimmers from the Flyers Swim Team, with training venues in Mornington and Frankston, attended with this trial meet in an effort to qualify for the Semi Finals and Finals, later in the season.
In what began as a wild and wet morning and ended up being a lovely summers afternoon, the Flyers were represented well amongst the other district clubs. Whether it was a swimmer’s first All Junior competition or their last, it was great to see all swimmers get up and swim fast as well as try to implement some new technique changes that have been worked on during training sessions. Flyers swimmers regularly swam personal best times and consistently placing in the top positions of their heats.
We would also like to extend a warm thanks to all the parents who came along and made it a great atmosphere in the stands for the swimmers as well as their help in timekeeping or Team Managing.
Congratulations to all swimmers who participated and a special mention to those who will now compete at the semi finals on the 28th March.
