The end of the winter pinnacle competition, Victorian S/C Championships, kicked off with the 13-18 years old section last weekend. Surrey Park was represented by 19 swimmers, who were very eager to show their families and friends how hard they have worked throughout the past 3-4 months.

This they all did by posting some amazing swims, with many swimmers reaching finals and some standing on the Podium receiving their medals.

Surrey Park had some outstanding swims, and it wasn’t just our medalists that were great. The following swimmers performed at a whole NEW level and came away with enormous improvements:

• 93 PB’s from 87 Swims – Awesome!

What a fantastic effort by all swimmers who competed on the weekend.

We have two more sections of the Short Course meets to go. The Victorian Short Course Competition this weekend followed by the Vic Open and 12/Under Short Course Championships the following weekend.

A big “thank you” goes out to our Coaching staff, Tom, Pat, Sarah, Matt and of course Kylie. Even though she was not on pool deck this weekend, she was certainly there in spirit and via the phone / text. She was so proud to see all the fast swims from ALL SP swimmers – Rest Up Kylie and come back soon!
