Victorian Age Championships Team Information

Congratulations and good luck to those swimmers representing Surrey Park at the upcoming Victorian Age Championships. Please find below some important information regarding the meet.

The proposed relay teams can be viewed HERE.

All relays will be swum in the evening finals session. Please check the listing and confirm the days when the relays you are in will be swum. Any questions regarding the relays should be directed to your coach.

Swimmer Accreditation

All swimmers will require accreditation to access pool deck. Shannon Clarke is distributing the passes. If swimmers haven't received their pass before the meet, they should seek out Shannon Clarke in the stand to collect this.

Note: Competitors will need to must have their accreditation with them to access the marshalling rooms.

Club Uniform

All swimmers are reminded to wear their navy Surrey Park T-shirts (preferably the polo one with State Team on the back) plus plain navy shorts or track pants. Polo shirts can be purchased through Surrey Park reception if required.

Melbourne's weather can be variable so please take something warm to wear as well especially to the finalsin case it's cooler.


Swimmers should be at the pool at least 90 minutes prior to their first swim. They need to touch base with their coach upon arrival for instructions.

Warm Down, Talking to Coaches

All swimmers must see their coaches prior to their races, then at the completion of each race. They are asked to proceed to the cool down pool and complete a cool down before coming back to speak to the coach.


Surrey Park swimmers and supporters should sit together in the grandstand in the bottom section of the second last walk through.


Coaches will be located on pool deck during this meet, if they are not on the competition pool deck; they will be in the warm up/cool down area.

Team Managers

Ada and Sam Xu will be assisting the coaches by acting as Team Managers. Any swimmer wanting to withdraw from a Final will need to speak to their coach before a withdrawal form is submitted.

Timekeeping Roster

Surrey Park is required to fill 2 timekeeping seats for the following sessions:

  • Day 1 – Saturday 10th December Finals Session
  • Day 2 – Sunday 11th December Finals Session
  • Day 3 – Monday 12th December Heats Session
  • Day 4 – Tuesday 13th December Finals Session
  • Day 6 – Thursday 15th December Finals Session

Timekeeper access to pool deck will only be via the middle stairs at back of grandstand. Note: All timekeepers will be required to produce photo ID to gain access to pool deck.

Post States Dinner

All Surrey Park swimmers and their families are invited to attend the post State Championships dinner to be held after the finals on Thursday 15th December. Tickets need to be purchased ahead of time CLICK HERE for further details.
