10 March 2017
The weather was beautiful and sunny for Week 3 of Twilight Tuesday Racing on 7th March. The session was once again a busy one with around 60 swimmers from Junior and State Development Squads and the Club's Learn to Swim Program participating.
There was some good racing enjoyed by all. This time the program started with 100m IM; then came 100m Free for most (50 Free for Zarah, Sethumi, Albert and Leena). 50m events in Back, Breast and Fly followed.
The swimmers who have been attending regularly are starting to get along well as a group and are very good when it comes to encouraging the younger/newer participants.
Many thanks to the Tait, Howlett, Lim and Lancefield families for their assistance with timekeeping,
The times swimmers achieved each week can be accessed in the following table:
|7th February||WEEK 1|
|21st February||WEEK 2|
|7th March||WEEK 3|
|21st March||WEEK 4|
The final Twilight Tuesday for this term is on 21th March. A reminder that swimmers are required to sign up ahead of time (including those in Junior and State Development who normally train on a Tuesday night).
Members and their siblings should do this via Team Unify. Note TU sign up closes off the Friday night prior. If you need any help signing up or would like a sibling to be added to your TU account please email [email protected] for assistance. Learn to Swim students should sign up at Surrey Park reception.
Swimmers registering ahead of time to participate assists with the smooth running of these nights. It enables the program to be produced ahead of time and makes it easier to produce the results.
