Swimming Victoria

Swimming Victoria is the governing state sporting association for swimming in Victoria. Established in 1893, Swimming Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of approximately 160 swimming clubs and over 11,500 members. 

Being a member allows you to track your times from Club competitions to Victorian and Australian Championships as well as providing the opportunity to qualify for Swimming Australia’s Junior Excellence program. You can access pathway resources, take part in development workshops and learning activities, and even gain opportunities to participate in our performance programs.

Kings Swim Club Membership automatically includes your Swimming Victoria membership which also provides personal injury protection insurance through JLT Sport. You can find full details here.

All Squad Members, Coaches, Committee Members and Officials must be registered each year with Swimming Victoria in order to have a current membership and applicable insurance coverage. Squad members who do not comply and register with Swimming Victoria will not be permitted to train.


Mandatory Parent Membership

Effective 1 July 2019, it is mandatory for parents of squad members under the age of 18 to be registered with Swimming Victoria. The Parent account will be linked to the Squad Member(s).  A parent or guardian over 18 years of age from each family must register with Swimming Victoria as a Non-Swimmer/Dry Member. Kings Swim Club will link you to your swimmer through Swim Central after you have registered. 

Parent membership is required primarily to ensure Swimming Victoria is not communicating directly to minors through their online system.
